Emerging science for our Earth

MedCON–ESTATE is a new conference series on applying emerging science and technology to total environmental sustainability, shaped around the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The name ESTATE comes from the Sanskrit bhūsampad, meaning our Earth. The congress covers the branches of engineering, new developments and innovation management behind today's environmental challenges.

It brings together scholars and experts from the Mediterranean basin, Europe, Asia and beyond, with an industry forum where leaders discuss trends, impacts, opportunities and challenges in global sustainability.

The congress was initiated by the Laboratory of Transport Phenomena and Biotechnology at the University of Calabria, with researchers from Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Sweden, Germany, India, the UK and more.

Themes include environmental engineering, emerging technology, water, soil, air quality, climate change, the EU Green Deal and innovation across the Mediterranean basin.
